Annual Scholarship Snowday typically held the Tuesday after President's Day at Bretton Woods, NH at the Mt. Washington Omni Hotel. Geared toward skiing, snowmobile races for the children, indoor rock climbing and plenty of food, fun and raffles. This event is fun for the whole family! Discounted rooms available. Proceeds to benefit NH Food Industry Education Foundation Scholarship Program where over $56,000 are awarded to qualifying NHGA member employees or their dependents to the cost of college or trade school.
Annual Government Relations Day held during the second week of April in Concord, NH. This event is designed to provide you with a legislative overview of the food industry and how the state, federal and regulatory changes may be impacting your business. Hear New Hampshire government officials address our members on the state's agenda regarding the food industry and the direction the state is taking in regards to its citizens and business owners. Annual Day at the Seacoast is the perfect way to kick off the summer. Held annually during the summer months, we bring retailers and suppliers together for a day at New Hampshire's picturesque seacoast. The early portion of the day consist of your choice of a two very different activities. For those who prefer to be "on" the water we coordinate an annual Fishing Tournament. Join us on NHGA's charter boat and enjoy a half day of fishing on the wide-open sea or register your own company boat to compete in the Fishing Tournament. If you prefer to be in the water that slide on over to Water Country! Bring the kids and enjoy a day at one of NH's premeir water parks. We finish the day off with with a New England Lobster dinner, prizes, raffles and awards at the Portsmouth Elks Club. You are welcome to join us for just the dinner or spend the whole day with NHGA at the Seacoast!
Ultra-Violette Annual Golf Classic is held at Lake Sunapee Country Club in New London, NH the first Thursday after Labor Day. For more than 30 years the Ultra-Violette has been raising money for New Hampshire Grocers Association members who are students or have dependents that are students with more than $56,000 a year in scholarship grants to ease the burden of higher education. This worthy cause only adds to the excitement of this long-running event. Watch for more information. This tournament is limited to the first 72 players. Make sure you're foursome doesn't miss out on all the fun.

Our year concludes with our biggest annual event. NHGA's Annual Fall Conference and Expo held at the Executive Courthouse Banquet Facility in Manchester, NH in late October. Suppliers from New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts participate in this opportunity to exhibit their product to an exclusive audience made up of the NHGA's retail member business owners and decision makers for independent and chain retail locations throughout New Hampshire. The program also included seminars and engaging speakers who will address topics that will help make running your business more productive and prosperous. Date subject to change.
Annual Board of Directors Golf Tournament held at Canterbury Woods, Canterbury, NH in early part of the summer. Join New Hampshire Grocers Association at Canterbury Woods Country Club. Wide fairway corridors with generous landing areas set up multiple strategic options for playing each hole. Subtle undulations on the greens and a variety of greenside chipping areas will provide a challenge for one’s short game repertoire. NHGA players will be pleased that the 35 acres of bent grass fairways do not force any blind shots over the course of a round. Come on...Get Your Game On!
NHGA Best Bagger Competition is held in September at the NH Food Bank, 700 E. Industrial Park Drive, Manchester, NH 03109 for 4:30-6:00 PM. The New Hampshire champion receives paid airfare and hotel accommodations to the NGA hosted National Best Bagger Contest, which is held in Las Vegas at the National Grocers Association Convention in February. The winner of the national competition receives a grand prize of $10,000. The second place winner is awarded $5,000 while the third, fourth and fifth place finishers all earn $1,000 each.
