NH Grocers Association Announces Dividend Payments Totaling $113,000 to Members in the Workers’ Comp Program

The NH Grocers Association is proud to announce that our Association Members Workers’ Compensation Trust paid dividends for the seventh year totaling $1,174,000 since inception to New Hampshire businesses that participated in the program during years 2012 and 2010.
The dividends, a portion of which have been previously distributed, were declared at the following percentage amounts for the stated policy years:
* 2012 declared percentage: 12.3%
* 2010 declared percentage: 12.0%
Since its 2004 inception, the New Hampshire-based trust has paid $1,174,000 in dividends to participants, an average return of 9.0% in member contributions (premium equivalent). The dividends payments in 2015 total $113,000.
A self-insured workers’ compensation group program for NHGA members, the trust currently includes over 500 New Hampshire businesses with over $3.1 million in annual contributions. The trust offers upfront savings of up to 25% to qualified risks compared with many traditional insurance carriers.
The program was created in 2004 when the NH Grocers Association and the New Hampshire Retail Merchants Association partnered to create a more cost-effective workers’ compensation program for members of the two organizations. The trust is administered by Cove Risk Services, LLC, a leading third-party administrator of self-insured workers’ compensation groups in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
